Best Poker Rooms in October 2026: What Changed
Current traffic and promotion terms keep GGPoker and PokerStars close at the top, while WPT Global rises on its nightly $5.50 2-for-1 tournament.
The October 19 room board keeps GGPoker and PokerStars at the top of PokerGods’ reviewed-room shortlist, while WPT Global moves up one place on an inexpensive nightly tournament offer. ACR still has the heavier headline guarantee, but its $6.5 million Dual Venom flights have finished. Promotions can change the calendar. They do not turn volume into profit.
Traffic is close at the top. HighStakesDB’s October 19 table gives GGNetwork a 7-day average of 42,225, PokerStars 41,385, ACR 5,454, WPT Global 3,201 and Coin Poker 66. That puts GGPoker and PokerStars just 840 apart in this snapshot. The numbers are from HighStakesDB’s daily room ranking, not an audited count of cash-game seats.
There is a reason for the caveat. HighStakesDB says it updates the list daily, but does not explain how it calculates the averages. It also says it has removed rooms over suspicious traffic presentation, including double-counting, slow player-offline updates and bot activity. Use the order as one signal, not proof of a room’s exact liquidity or a month-on-month boom.
The October board
- GGPoker, holds at No. 1. Its tracked average is the highest of these five rooms, and October still has two live reasons to look at the calendar. GGPoker’s October promotion page lists a $2 million Bounty Hunters Series Cash Drop through October 23 and a $1 million Halloween Party from October 24 to 31. The Cash Drop is not a free chip for merely opening the client. Players need to win a qualifying pot, with the threshold at 50 big blinds in regular Hold’em, PLO, Rush & Cash or Short Deck, 16 big blinds in AoF Hold’em, and 10 big blinds in AoF Omaha. The GGPoker room review is the place to check the wider product details, but the promotion’s terms should decide whether the offer fits your usual games.
- PokerStars, holds at No. 2. Its 7-day average is close enough to GGNetwork that the traffic gap is not a useful reason to switch rooms. The current Spooky Season runs from October 11 to November 9, with 94 tournaments and buy-ins from $3.30 to $215. The October 25 schedule includes an $8 event with a $30,000 guarantee and a $75 event with a $250,000 guarantee. The November 8 finale is a $109 Sunday Million with $1 million guaranteed. The operator says completing five challenges for five Spooky Chips gives entry to “a $100K All-in Shootout every single week.” Read the PokerStars review alongside the official Spooky Season schedule and challenge rules.
- WPT Global, up one place to No. 3. Its 3,201 average is lower than ACR’s, but the current offer is easier to use at a modest buy-in. WPT Global advertises a nightly $5.50 2-for-1 tournament with a $50,000 guarantee. A cash buy-in earns a second $5.50 tournament ticket, and the listed start time is 22:00 UTC+8. In the operator’s words, it is “2 chances to win a share of $50,000 GTD for the price of 1.” The offer page gives no start date, end date or ticket expiry, so check the lobby before treating it as a standing deal. The WPT Global review covers the room beyond this one promotion.
- ACR, down one place to No. 4. ACR’s traffic average is higher than WPT Global’s, but the biggest October event is now closed to new entries. The two Dual Venom PKOs carried $6.5 million in combined guarantees: $5 million for No-Limit Hold’em and $1.5 million for Pot-Limit Omaha, each with a $2,650 direct buy-in. The last starting flights ran on October 18. Day 2 is scheduled for October 19, with both final tables on October 21, according to ACR’s event schedule. A new $650,000 Mystery PKO package has $109, $33 and $5.50 events, with Day 2 on November 1. That is worth watching, but it is not the same as a fresh chance to enter the Venom. The ACR review has the room-level context.
- CoinPoker remains outside the leading group. HighStakesDB lists a 66-player 7-day average, far below the four rooms above. CoinPoker’s promotion page calls CoinMillion a weekly tournament with a $1 million guarantee, but gives no October or November 2026 event date. That is a large headline, not a dated schedule. Check the client before making a plan, and do not treat the small traffic reading as proof that the room has exactly 66 active players.
What the rank changes actually mean
The movement is small and deliberately practical. GGPoker and PokerStars remain first and second because their tracked traffic is close and both have a dated series or promotion in play. WPT Global takes third because a $5.50 nightly entry with a second ticket is accessible to more bankrolls than ACR’s $2,650 Venom direct buy-in. ACR drops to fourth, not because its event is weak, but because the last Venom flight has already run. ACR’s next dated attraction is the $650,000 Mystery PKO package with Day 2 on November 1; the public announcement does not list every later starting flight.
These are editorial ranks for rooms PokerGods reviews, not a universal league table or a prediction of your results. The headline guarantee is shared across a field, and a ticket is not cash.
