GGPoker's client is the closest anyone has come to reinventing an online poker interface since PokerStars 6 rewrote the rulebook in 2003. Rush and Cash is the flagship, an anonymous fast-fold format that has now outstripped Zoom in average daily entries, and the layout is set up to reward that: seat-plate images that look like avatars but are actually just visual anchors, an all-in-percentage HUD baked into every hand tracker, and Squid Squad tables where losing your stack triggers a scripted animation. Beneath the theater is a legitimately fast, low-latency engine that handles 32 tables on a mid-range laptop.

PokerCraft, the built-in hand replayer, is the real reason GGPoker retains grinders who could shop their bankroll to any competitor. Every hand you play is annotated with a solver-equivalent breakdown of your major decisions, run-good metrics, and heatmaps of your play by position. This is the closest thing to a Hold'em Manager replacement that exists inside a poker client. It also means GGPoker sees every hand you play at solver precision, which is worth remembering when they decide who to invite to their loyalty tiers.

Smart HUD is banned. GGPoker was the first major room to actually enforce a third-party tracker ban with real, adversarial detection: they suspend accounts, freeze balances, and publish quarterly reports of banned users. This keeps the population significantly more casual than Stars or ACR, at the cost of forcing regs to work off PokerCraft alone. Most serious regs treat this as a feature, not a bug, because the fish stay fish.

Table cap is enforced at four. This is aggressive by industry standards (Stars allows 24, ACR 16) but it caps the room's exploitability by mass-multitablers, which again keeps the pool softer for everyone else. The cap plus the tracker ban together explain most of what makes GGPoker traffic play the way it does.

Rake table by stake, NLHE cash

GGPoker's rake is 5% across the board, weighted contributed, no-flop-no-drop. What varies is the cap per stake. Here is the current NLHE cash schedule:

• NL10 (blinds $0.05/$0.10): 5%, cap $1.00 heads-up, $2.00 full-ring
• NL25 ($0.10/$0.25): 5%, cap $1.50 HU, $2.50 FR
• NL50 ($0.25/$0.50): 5%, cap $2.00 HU, $3.00 FR
• NL100 ($0.50/$1): 5%, cap $2.50 HU, $3.00 FR
• NL200 ($1/$2): 5%, cap $3.00 HU, $3.50 FR
• NL500 ($2/$5): 5%, cap $3.00 HU, $3.50 FR
• NL1000+ ($5/$10 and up): 5%, cap $3.00 HU, $3.50 FR

Compare this to Stars (4.5% weighted contributed, cap $2.50 at NL100) or WPT Global (5%, cap $3.00 at NL100). GGPoker is a middle-of-the-pack rake structure. The rakeback layered on top is what makes the effective rate competitive.

The PLO schedule is more expensive: 5.5% weighted contributed with a $2.50 cap at PLO50 rising to $4.00 at PLO500+. This is standard for the industry, but PLO grinders should factor it in.

Rakeback mechanics: Ocean Rewards in detail

Ocean Rewards replaced Fish Buffet on January 30, 2026. The mechanics are similar in shape but the payout curve rewards long tail volume more aggressively. You earn 100 Tide Points per $1 in rake generated. Tide Points move you up eight tiers named after aquatic species, from Shrimp (starting tier) to Shark (top tier). Each tier has an instant weekly cashback plus a daily "Chest" that pays out a bonus scaling with your tier.

Effective rakeback rates by tier:

• Shrimp (starting): ~5% via daily Chests
• Crab: ~8%
• Octopus: ~12%
• Dolphin: ~18%
• Shark: ~30% via combined Chests + weekly leaderboards

Two important caveats. First, Tide Points reset every January 1 UTC, so if you start in Q4 you effectively have three months to hit the tier you want for the following calendar year's first month. Second, the top-tier percentages only crystallize for volume-heavy players (roughly 100,000 hands per month at NL200+). PLO traffic peaks slightly earlier, 17:00-20:00 UTC, and drops sharply after 22:00 UTC. If you're a PLO specialist and playing outside those hours you will see thin action even at NL200+ stakes.

Rush and Cash pool sizes are what matter most for grinders. Rush pools at NL100 sit at 3,500-4,500 concurrent during peak hours, meaning hand rates of 250-320 hands per hour per table are achievable, which is roughly 3-4x traditional cash tables at similar traffic.

Payment methods and cashout speeds
