Best online poker sites, 2026

The seven rooms we cover, ranked. Plus the math behind the order, because every other site that claims to rank rooms is ranking who paid them.

It is 2026, the WSOP Online has finished its sixth full year, and the online poker market has consolidated harder than at any point since Black Friday. The middle has hollowed out. The rooms that survive either own a real player pool or pay enough rakeback that grinders treat them as job-adjacent. Everything in between has either merged, been bought, or quietly stopped processing US-friendly withdrawals.

We started with fourteen rooms in our first pass and quietly dropped the ones we would not deposit at ourselves. What is left is seven. The full table, every score, every rake number, lives on the poker rooms hub. The short version is below.

The top three

Three rooms separated themselves in 2026. The order matters less than the gap between them and rooms four through seven.

  1. CoinPoker, 9.6 out of 10. The 33% flat rakeback was the highest sustained deal in the dot-com market until the March 2026 transition to a daily click-to-claim model under CoinRewards. The new cap structure is less generous than the original flat 33%, but still cleaner than the tiered loyalty programmes everywhere else. Rake is 5%, capped at $5 at NL100 with five or more players. The April 2026 cap increase tightened the previously dominant net-rake position, but the room still wins on rakeback for most volumes under 100,000 hands a year. Cash pool peaks around 1,900 concurrent, smaller than the giants but soft.
  2. GGPoker, 9.5 out of 10. Biggest pool, deepest tournament schedule, the All-In Insurance promotional layer that turns every cooler into a partial refund. Fish Buffet was retired on January 30, 2026, replaced by Ocean Rewards. The new programme tops out at 80% rakeback for Shark-tier players, the highest published ceiling on the market. Reaching Shark requires $100,000 in rake, which means it applies to a small fraction of users. For mid-stakes regulars, a realistic 30 to 48% effective rakeback is the honest number. Software is dense and divisive, but the player pool is overwhelming.
  3. WPT Global, 9.0 out of 10. The product is no longer a side bet. WPT Global runs real WPT Main Event seats, the WPT World Championship $40 million guarantee at Wynn each December, and an increasingly serious cash schedule across mid-stakes PLO. The room accepts crypto, holds a Malta licence, and the player pool skews recreational by design. Rakeback is positioned around 15 to 20% effective for grinders, which is not loyalty-card-leading but is paired with the softest pool in the top tier.

The story of 2026

Two things changed everything. The first was the crypto rails finally getting good. Withdrawals settle in minutes. Deposits do not get blocked at the card-issuer layer. Nobody asks for a utility bill at the cashier. The second was the regulated rooms shifting their loyalty programmes from rakeback-equivalent to gamification. Both Fish Buffet and Ocean Rewards pay genuine money at the top tier, but the variance in payout per dollar of rake is much higher than a flat-percentage deal. That distinction is exactly the kind of edge case the rakeback ROI calculator exists to solve.

Rooms four through seven cover the rest of the legal-grey-to-licensed spectrum. Americas Cardroom remains the default for US-facing players, with 27% Elite Benefits flat available via certain affiliate paths and the Venom Million running three times a year. PokerStars still has the best software, the deepest tournament schedule, and a cash pool that is materially tougher than it was a decade ago. BC Poker runs a 30% daily-paid flat rakeback, the cleanest no-tier structure in the market. 888poker is the value play for low-stakes regs.

For the deepest dive, every score, every cap, the rake comparison table, head to the rake comparison hub. The numbers there are updated monthly and reflect what the rooms actually pay, not the marketing ceiling on the affiliate landing page.
